JCE Chile S.A. was founded in 1988 by the Swedish businessman Jan Christer Ericsson, to carry out a real estate project in the city of Concepción, and enter the forestry business.

For more than 30 years we have undertaken in various countries and businesses, and we currently operate in Chile, Brazil, Colombia and Uruguay, in the followingareas inversion:

Over the years, JCE Chile has founded various businesses in industries such as forestry, real estate, construction, biofuel, technology, health, industrial representation, among others.

In principle, JCE Chile SA can invest inany region and industrial sector, and we are always open to new business and investment opportunities with the potential to create long-term value.

We use our operational experience, know-how and financial strength to actively analyze and develop our participation in new businesses with sustainable growth and profitability. 

Our history

The history of our company begins in 1987, when the Swedish businessman Jan Christer Ericsson, along with other Chilean businessmen, began to make their first investments in Chile, specifically in the forestry and fishing areas.

Over the years, JCE has founded several companies in various industries such as forestry, real estate, fishing, construction, biofuels, technology, health, industrial representation, among others. 

​

Today, JCE has become a diversified investment company with operations mainly in Chile, Brazil, Colombia and Uruguay.

  • Constitution of the Agricultural and Forestry Company JCE Ltda., and acquisition of the “El Morro” estate; first milestone of entrada to the forestry industry.

  • Acquired 50% of participation in Pesquera Confish SA to the Blomstrom family.

  • Creation of Constructora JCE SA

  • Creation of the Real Estate JCE SA

  • Creation of Sawmills JCE SA, and beginning of activities in the city of Los Angeles.  

  • Creation of Nordchil Representaciones SA, and beginning of activities in the area of industrial representations, obtaining the exclusive representation for Chile of the Husqvarna brands from Sweden; Poulan and Oregon of USA.

  • Construction of an office and commercial building located in Aníbal Pinto, Concepción.

  • Construction of an apartment building in Isidora Goyenechea, Santiago.

  • Change of name of the company Compañía Agrícola y Forestal JCE Ltda., to JCE Chile SA

  • Strategic decision to sell forestry and fishing investments in order to allocate resources to strengthen other business areas.

  • Incorporation of the representation of the Italian brand Cifarelli, specialized in portable equipment for the agricultural and garden industry.  

  • Creation of the company Nordtech Máquinas e Motores Ltda. in Brazil, oriented to industrial representations and import of machinery.

  • Creation of Inmobiliaria Don Cristóbal SA to develop different real estate projects in association with private investors.

  • Creation of the company Clínica Los Andes SA, which develops 3 clinics:

    • Los Andes Clinic in Los Angeles.

    • Los Andes Clinic in Puerto Montt and

    • Clinic Los Andes de Chillán.

  • Development of various real estate projects, the most important being:

    • Conception:

      • ​Don Cristóbal office building in Talcahuano.

      • Chacabuco 155 residential building.

      • Plaza del Arco residential building.

      • Parque de las Trinitarias residential building.

      • Residential building Torre Mayor

    • Santiago:

      • Kennedy Housing Building

      • Cosmorama office building

  • Modernization of the sawmill through the construction of a new industrial plant.

  • An internal professionalization process is carried out in the construction company and ISO 9001 certification is achieved.

  • Creation of the company Andes Bio-Pellets SA, and the start of activities in renewable energies through the construction of the first large-scale production plant for forest waste pellets.

  • Aserraderos JCE SA obtains the HT-NIMF-15 and APL Certification.

  • Change of name of the company Nordchil Representaciones SA to Representaciones JCE SA

  • Incorporation of the representation of the American brand Briggs & Stratton.

  • Creation of Toyama Chile SA, a company dedicated to importing and marketing Toyama combustion machinery.

2010 - 2019

  • Aserraderos JCE leases the Las Cañas sawmill owned by CMPC located in Constitución for 8 years.

  • Creation of Sawmills JCE Uruguay and start of activities of a sawmill located in Tranqueras.

  • Creation of the company Equipos Toyama de Colombia SAS.

  • Incorporation of the representation of the German brand Gardena, which offers a wide range of products for garden care.  

  • Incorporation of the representation of the American brand Charbroil, manufacturer of grills.  

  • Development of various real estate projects, the most important being:

    • Antofagasta:

      • Studio Office Baquedano office building.

    • Squid:

      • Abaroa I and II residential buildings.

    • The Serena:

      • Studio Office Colón office building.

    • Huentelauquen:

      • Residential lot of 2nd house Agua Dulce.

    • Santiago:
